Job summary

Colonial Group in El Paso, TX seeks a Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems across plant equipment. You will diagnose issues, perform rebuilds, and help improve uptime in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Applicants should have 1+ year of industrial maintenance experience, own basic tools, and be able to work any shift with overtime. Uniforms are provided and safety policies must be followed.

• At least 1 year of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
• Experience repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC systems and industrial equipment.
• Committed to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Willing to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, replace mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on plant equipment and facilities.
• Increase productivity, reduce downtime and waste.
• Respond quickly to machine downtime events.
• Complete in-house training; may attend external training with overnight travel.
• Follow safety and company policies including lock-out tag-out procedures.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range from $24.88-$27.45 based on skills and experience.

Excellent Benefits Package including Health, Dental, Vision, and 401K Plan.

1.5 pay over 8 hours, over 40 hours and weekends.

1.5 pay on holidays, plus additional overtime over 8 hours on holidays.

Uniforms provided.

Up to 100 paid training hours annually for technicians to advance through the progressive skill levels.

Stipend for safety shoes, safety glasses and tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform a variety of maintenance tasks to diagnose, repair, rebuild, replace mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on all plant equipment and facilities.
• Use maintenance knowledge to increase productivity, decrease downtime and waste.
• Work with a sense of urgency to respond to machine downtime events.
• Will be required to complete in-house training programs to develop equipment specific maintenance skills.The position may also require attendance at external training that may require occasional overnight travel.
• Must be able to follow all safety and company policies that include lock-out tag-out procedures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 1 year of experience successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Must have knowledge and experience with repairing and maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC systems and industrial equipment.
• Be passionate about maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Ability to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Must have own basic tools (PCA will provide specialized tools and an annual tool allowance).
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical degree and/or comparable experiencein successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery and equipment; particularly within the corrugated or packaging industry.
