You will assist with basic vehicle maintenance under a senior mechanic, learn car systems, and contribute to safe, efficient service. Qualifications

Our auto repair shop has an immediate opening for a Mechanic Assistant. Underthe direction of our senior mechanic, you will assist with car maintenance jobs.You must be familiar with the general workings of a car engine. Our idealcandidate has some experience with fixing and maintaining vehicles, but we arewilling to train the right person.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic maintenance tasks on customer vehicles


• Keeps work area clean and safe


• Moves cars in and out of the bay area


• Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate


• Completion of an auto repair program (preferred, but not required)


• Experience with hand and power tools


• Willing to learn


• Must be dependable and punctual


• Valid Driver's license


• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Compensation

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
