Job summary

Irvine Auto Repair in Irvine, CA is seeking a skilled Mechanic and Inspector to join our growing shop. You will diagnose, repair, and inspect a wide range of vehicles, providing accurate documentation and clear repair recommendations to customers and service advisors.

We value quality work, transparency, and teamwork. ASE certification is preferred, and you’ll work in a fast-paced environment with access to diagnostic tools and modern shop equipment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as automotive mechanic or technician.
• ASE certification(s) preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, scan tools, and shop equipment.
• Strong knowledge of engine, transmission, brakes, and electrical.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections and accurately document findings.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and computer-related automotive issues.
• Execute repairs and maintenance on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
• Conduct brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain repairs.
• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and routine preventive maintenance services.
• Utilize diagnostic scan tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
• Communicate repair recommendations clearly to service advisors and customers.
