Job summary

Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, a Lockheed Martin Company, seeks a skilled mechanic to perform repairs, overhauls, and modifications on helicopter components in accordance with FAA approved procedures, OEM manuals, and drawings. This full‑time role supports a 4x10 schedule, requires familiarity with FAA and DOT drug testing, and a safety‑sensitive work environment.

You will work with a small team, use hand tools and torque wrenches, and contribute to maintaining high aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with MRO on helicopter components.
• Ability to read and interpret FAA procedures, OEM manuals and drawings.
• Strong tool-handling and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, overhauls, and/or modifications on helicopter components per FAA/OEM specs.
• Overhaul and repair dynamic components including landing gear; ensure metrology requirements.
• Work independently with limited supervision and team collaboration as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, overhauls, and/or modifications on various aircraft components in accordance with FAA approved procedures, OEM manuals, and drawings.
• Must be able to overhaul and repair all dynamic components including Landing gear components, experience with applicable tool control and metrology requirements.
• Work independently with limited supervision.
• Adhere to EH&S requirements, FAA & EASA regulations, company rules, policies, procedures and corporate initiatives.
• Work occasional overtime as required to support business requirements.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others
• Perform duties as assigned by Shop Lead Person
• Have to ability to learn and comprehend new products as assigned. This is safety sensitive job subject to FAA and DOT drug testing requirements

Experience: prior MRO experience on helicopter components.

Successful Candidate Must Be Able To

• Perform repairs, overhauls, and/or modifications on various aircraft components in accordance with FAA approved procedures, OEM manuals, and drawings.
• Must be able to overhaul and repair all dynamic components including Landing gear components, experience with applicable tool control and metrology requirements.

Skills: Strong use of common hand tools, torque wrenches, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

Knowledge: Basic computer skills, and ability to work in with a small group.

Education: High School Diploma

Requirement: This is a safety-sensitive job covered by the U.S. DOT’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations require that you participate in a drug testing program for the following drugs: Marijuana - Opioids - Cocaine - Amphetamines - Phencyclidine or a metabolite of these drugs.

Desired Skills

Experience with S76 and S92 main gear box overhaul, metrology, and tool control experience.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $54200.00 - $100600.00
