You will troubleshoot issues, review technical drawings, and document findings to ensure high-quality repairs. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and experience with precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude; multi-craft experience a plus.
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
• Familiar with API, ANSI, and OEM standards related to rotating equipment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and organized work habits.
• Valid driver’s license; able to pass drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties under the direction of Shop Manager to align the team with daily goals.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.

Competitive Pay

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $25/hr. and up. Wage rate to be commensurate with experience / demonstrated performance.

What You'll Do

• Performs duties assigned under the direction of Shop Manager to ensure the team is aligned to the goals and objectives for the team for each day.
• Perform and oversee the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and related rotating equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and lead root cause analysis on equipment failures.
• Interpret technical drawings, OEM manuals, and repair specifications.
• Ensure proper documentation of repair findings, measurements, tolerances, and parts used.
• Represent OTC professionally and build strong customer relationships.
• Follow safety protocols and stay current through ongoing training.
• Handle emergency service calls with speed and precision to keep operations moving.
• Be flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
