Job summary

Port Jeff Bowl in New York is seeking a part-time mechanic to maintain lane equipment and related building systems. You will perform regular maintenance and emergency repairs to keep pinspotters, pins, lights, and lane areas in top condition.

The role requires at least 1 year of mechanical experience, a fast learner, and physical ability to move along lanes. Shift options include Weekday Day Shifts and Weekend Night Shifts; benefits include free open bowling and dining discounts.

Qualifications

• Physically able to walk up and down lanes, retrieve balls, and move deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Ensure lane equipment (pinspotters, pins, lights) and building areas are in working order.
• Regularly maintain lane and building operational equipment.
• Make regular and emergency repairs of lanes and building equipment.
• Ensure the lane back area is organized and clean.
• Keep lane gutters and walkways clean.
• Oil lanes for tournaments, open bowling, and leagues.

Job Description:

Our bowling alley mechanics make sure our lane equipment and other building areas/equipment are in tip-top shape through regular maintence.

• Responsible for making sure all lane equipment (pinspotters, pins, lights etc.) are in working order.
• Regularly maintain lane and building operational equipment.
• Make regular and emergency repairs of lanes and building equipment.
• Ensuring the lane back area is organized and clean.
• Make sure the lane gutters and walkways are clean.
• Oiling of lanes for tournaments, open bowling, and/or leagues.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of mechanical experience. Prior experience with Bowling Alley Mechanics is a plus.
• Fast learner, ability to be easily trainined by current mechanics.
• Physically able to walk up and down lanes, retreive bowling balls, and put away deliveries.
