## MechanicApplylocations: Pegram, TNtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR100151**Join the Family** - Come work for an exciting company offering great benefits, challenging opportunities, and colleagues who feel more like family.# **Key Responsibilities and Duties**· Inspects, maintains and repairs parts on equipment, trucks and vehicles.· Keeps maintenance records.· Places orders for parts and supplies needed for equipment repair or services.· Recommends purchases of new equipment and supplies or outsourcing of repairs.· Maintain miscellaneous equipment in the yard or at customer sites (i.e., mags, bins, silos, containers, pumps, etc.).· Maintains tools and equipment provided by Austin Powder Company.· Orders and stock parts according to usage records, using designated suppliers.· Performs or schedules all fleet repairs and maintenance with proper documentation to meet regulatory agencies and APC policies.· Keeps garage and work area clean and organized.· Reports employee, vendor or equipment issues to Location Manager.· Develops and maintains positive work relationships with co-workers, customers, vendors, and government agencies.· Displays work behaviors that are honest and ethical in pursuit of APC business goals.· Maintains a safe working environment in compliance with all regulations and APC policies.· Completes and maintains a safe working environment in compliance with all regulations and APC policies.· Maintains all required licenses and/or certifications needed to perform mechanical duties and operate equipment at the location.· Other duties as assigned.# ***Education and Experience***· High school or equivalent (GED) degree· 21+ years of age as required by DOT.· 2 years’ driving experience with Class B CDL· Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the following classes: Preferably, X-Combination of Tank and Hazardous Material.# ***Skills and Knowledge***· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, product bulletins, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
