Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Sparta, Wisconsin, seeks qualified technicians to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain its heavy-duty diesel trucks and rolling stock. Starting pay is $25–$30 per hour with shifts around 12 PM and 8–10 hours daily, Monday through Friday, with overtime after 40 hours.

• Daily inspections and diagnosing issues on diesel refuse trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to keep fleet ready for daily operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

Job description

Safely operate, repair, rebuild and perform maintenance on Company owned or leased heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment including rolling stock to ensure its ability to operate safely. Starting Pay: $25-$30/hr. More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level. Shift: 12pm start time. Expect 8-10hr shifts. M-F. OT after 40hrs.
