Job summary

Silgan Containers is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for our St. Joseph, Missouri plant.

You will maintain and repair high-speed can lines, perform preventive maintenance, and help drive safety, quality, and productivity improvements in a fast-changing manufacturing environment. Starting pay is $30.12 per hour plus a $1.30 shift differential, with overtime opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and a 401k match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two+ years of industrial maintenance or mechanic experience preferred.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools.
• Safety focused with problem-solving mindset.
• Willingness to perform and document quality checks on can lines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair high-speed manufacturing equipment and can lines.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and modify industrial mechanical systems.
• Use precision tools to work with tolerances up to .0010.
• Partner with management on safety, quality, and productivity improvements.
