Great Oaks Landscape Associates seeks a skilled automotive mechanic to inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair our fleet of vehicles and landscape equipment.

This role covers trucks, trailers, skids loaders, excavators, dozers, and two-cycle tools used on job sites.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational training or certification in automotive technology preferred.
  • ASE certifications may be required or preferred.
  • Previous experience in vehicle maintenance and two-cycle repair is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical or electrical problems.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake servicing.
  • Diagnose issues using diagnostic equipment and testing tools.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
  • Test vehicles after repairs to verify proper operation.
  • Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
  • Follow safety procedures and industry regulations.

Mechanic Job Description

A mechanic (also called an automotive technician) inspects, maintains, diagnoses, and repairs vehicles and mechanical systems to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Working with trucks, trailers, skids loaders, excavators, dozers, with a wide range of two cycle knowledge such as weed ships, blowers, chain saws, sod cutters, and hedge trimmers.

  • Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical or electrical problems.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake servicing.
  • Diagnose issues using diagnostic equipment and testing tools.
