Job summary

MV Transportation in Illinois is seeking a Mechanic Level B to maintain and repair our fleet of buses and paratransit vehicles. This on-site role performs inspections, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance on diesel and gasoline engines, brakes, electrical, and HVAC systems, while following DOT safety standards and documenting all work.

You will support occasional road calls and collaborate with drivers and supervisors to minimize downtime, with opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting and repairing diesel and gasoline buses and paratransit vehicles.
• Proficient in brake, engine, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Commitment to safety and DOT compliance; ability to document work clearly.
• Willingness to support road calls and work collaboratively with drivers and supervisors.
