Responsibilities
Inspect machines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems
Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users
Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g., repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles etc.)
Keep logs of work and report on issues
Qualifications
Driver’s License required - Driving record must be approved by NYCEDC.
In good physical condition and health, without mental or physical disabilities or impairments which would reasonably be expected to interfere with the performance of the services.
Ability to exert moderately heavy (up to 50 pounds) physical effort in moderate to heavy work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
Adherence to attendance policy and capable of working independently.
Ability to adapt and be flexible, as work environments and duties may change.
HSE preferred or actively in HSE classes.
Must be able to send and respond to emails both on a computer and a smartphone.
Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instructions, blueprints etc.
