Job summary

Mountain View Radiator is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our busy repair shop. As an Auto Mechanic, you will diagnose and repair issues with vehicles’ performance and function while maintaining repair shop equipment and preparing cost estimates.

The ideal candidate will communicate clearly with customers, explain issues, and offer practical advice to keep vehicles running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program preferred.
• ASE or SAE certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop.
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements.
• Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes.
• Create repair estimates and timelines and convey information to customers in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Maintain accurate repair shop records and paperwork.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
