Job summary

Silvertip is seeking a Mechanic – Pressure Pumping in Midland, TX to maintain and service equipment requiring engine diagnostics and preventive maintenance. This role involves field travel, adherence to safety policies, and operating company vehicles in compliance with regulations.

Under supervision, you will work with Cummins Insite and Cat ET diagnostics, with additional duties as needed to support operations in oilfield services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Experience with pressure pumping is a plus.
• Air brake experience required.

This career site is for external applicants only.****Job Description:**Mechanic – Pressure Pumping Purpose Under direct supervision of the Lead Mechanic, responsible for maintenance of Cummins Insite, Catapillar ET and Cranes to include engine diagnostic troubleshooting, and consistent preventive maintenance for equipment. Responsibilities · Perform required repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment. · Check mechanical equipment to diagnose problems, adjusting functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary or determine other actionable steps to resolve issues · Clean, lubricate or adjust parts equipment or machinery · Travel to the field as necessary to conduct repair work · Compliance with all company safety policies and procedures · Follow all operational policies, procedures and standards · Driving company vehicles in a safe manner while observing Company and government regulations · Performing other related duties as required Working conditions: Work is performed in all weather conditions Able to perform duties with protective equipment, H2S respirator where required Potential hazards include working near or with heavy tools and moving machinery Potential exposure to loud noises, airborne toxins, solvents, flammable atmospheres and industrial chemicals Silvertip will offer you interesting and challenging opportunities in oilfield services.
