Aerotek in Marana, AZ is seeking an Aircraft Teardown Mechanic for a contract-to-hire role. The position requires 3–5+ years of mechanical experience, including aircraft maintenance, and the ability to work with hand tools and various ground support equipment.
Responsibilities include preparing aircraft for teardown, de-servicing, and maintaining tools and shop equipment, with a first shift schedule and a strong emphasis on safety and productivity.
This role supports a certified aircraft repair station that provides comprehensive maintenance services across the full service life of commercial aircraft fleets. As an Aircraft Teardown Mechanic, you prepare aircraft for teardown, perform basic de-servicing tasks, and support shop operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant maintenance activities on a variety of commercial aircraft platforms.

This position operates primarily on first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Work takes place in aircraft maintenance hangars, on the flightline, and in avionics and shop areas, where you may encounter high‑intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, electrical charges, radar waves, and materials identified on Safety Data Sheets, as well as moving machinery and ground support equipment. The role is physically active, requiring extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and reaching above shoulder level, and occasional crawling, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted. You may use protective equipment such as goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, aprons, gloves, safety harnesses, and breathing equipment as needed. Commonly operated equipment includes aircraft ground servicing tools such as tugs, tractors, hi-lifts, trucks, servicing carts, test equipment, hand tools, reach forklifts, 36K forklifts, and 10K reach forklifts. The environment is structured, safety‑focused, and suited to individuals who are comfortable working around aircraft and heavy equipment in an active maintenance setting.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marana, AZ.
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
