Qualifications

  • Preferably prior Wireline surface mechanic experience.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability on wireline surface equipment.
  • Willing to be on call and work 40+ hrs per week at Lafayette, LA.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain assigned equipment according to maintenance program and reliability centered maintenance strategy through adherence to CMMS and standard work.
  • Adhere to transactional discipline within TLM to record materials, labor, and performance history.
  • Comply with Division TLM standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement within the Maintenance Base to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery.
  • Participate in efforts to reduce downtime and improve asset turnaround time.
  • Support continuous improvement to enhance maintenance efficiency and technician productivity.
  • Implement CoSD projects, such as planned repair and reuse of parts.
  • Participate in failure investigations as assigned.

Job description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of equipment as per operational demands. The Maintenance Technician improves maintenance related nonproductive time ratio of the Division's assets within the Maintenance Base (MB) and improves maintenance efficiency and people productivity.

  • Maintain assigned equipment according to the pertinent maintenance program and compliant with the reliability centered maintenance strategy through adherence to the Computerized Maintenance Management System and standard work.
  • Adhere to transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems to record materials and supplies, labor costs and equipment maintenance performance history such as movements, work orders, parts used and time to maintain.
  • Comply with Division TLM standards.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement culture, initiatives and improvement plans within the MB to improve asset utilization and cost of service delivery (CoSD).
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve asset turnaround time, which includes reducing downtime due to maintenance, parts and return authorization numbers, failures and work-in-process.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to improve the efficiency and productivity of Maintenance Technicians.
  • Implement CoSD projects, such as the planned repair and reuse of parts.
  • Participate in failure investigations as assigned.
  • Comply with the TLM Competency Management System.
Note: Please consider the following clarifications for job titles:
  • Mechanic – Performs work on surface equipment (industrial OEM mechanical equipment, e.g. trucks, units etc.)
  • Mechanical Technician – Performs work on downhole tools
  • WHE Service Technician – Performs work on well head equipment (WHE)
Qualifications and Experience
  • Preferably, previous experience as Wireline surface mechanic.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability on wireline surface equipment.
  • Willing to be on call and work 40+ hrs. per week at the base in Lafayette, La.
