Job summary

DCS Asset Maintenance is seeking a highly skilled Mechanic to work at our Fort Myers, Florida shop. You will build, inspect, diagnose and repair machinery, conduct preventive maintenance and keep detailed logs of work performed.

The role emphasizes safety, hands-on diagnostic work and reliable, high-quality service for our clients across the United States.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable experience as a mechanic with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to read instructions and blueprints and follow procedures.
• Physical fitness and safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble machines or components per requirements.
• Inspect machinery and run diagnostics to identify issues.
• Perform repairs to maximize reliability and longevity.
• Troubleshoot problems and resolve them promptly.
• Maintain machinery with cleaning, lubrication and fluids.
• Consult on proper maintenance and preventative measures.
• Keep logs and report work progress and issues.

Job Description

DCS Asset Maintenance is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanic to work out of our shop in Fort Myers Florida!

• Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements
• Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
• Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
• Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
• Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems
• Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
• Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery
• Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users
• Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles etc.)
• Keep logs of work and report on issues

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of clean driving record.
• High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus.
• Provenexperience as Mechanic
• Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components
• Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers)
• Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc.
• A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines.
• Very good communication skills
• Problem-solving ability.
• Good physical strength and stamina.
• Valid certification (e.g. ASE) is preferred.
