Description

Tamarack Golf Course, located in East Brunswick, NJ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Mechanic! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Pay:

$30.00 - $32.00 per hour

The Property:

Tamarack, managed by Troon Golf, is a 36-hole daily-fee facility located in East Brunswick, NJ. In 2024, Tamarack completed a renovation of all 36 holes that originally started in November 2021. The East Course renovation included a significant amount of tree clearing, a new irrigation system (HDPE, Rain Bird), drainage work, a complete bunker renovation, new green surfaces, and new green surrounds. The golf course reopened in late October 2022. The West Course had a new irrigation system installed, drainage added, new greens, a complete bunker renovation, and new green surrounds. The clubhouse, driving range, and entrance road are to be addressed as the third phase of the renovation, which will top $30 million at completion. Minimum Qualifications:

• Five years of progressive mechanics experience; golf course-specific experience preferred
• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be organized, motivated, and efficient with a high attention to detail
• Knowledge of gasoline, diesel (including Tier IV emissions), and two-cycle motors
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems
• Knowledge of grinding equipment and proper reel and bed knife grinding techniques preferred
• Must keep thorough records of preventative maintenance and inventories

Shop Amenities:

New Bernhard reel and bed knife grinders with dedicated grinding room

Mostly new equipment fleet; majority of equipment is five years old or newer

Many "shop" tools available, but a qualified candidate should provide their own tools
