Star Lanes Polaris in Columbus, OH seeks motivated Pin Chasers / Mechanics to join our facility team. You will learn to maintain and troubleshoot our QubicaAMF XLI Edge pinspotters, ensuring smooth lanes and a top-notch guest experience.

The role offers hands-on technical training, flexible shifts including evenings and weekends, and opportunities to advance in a dynamic, high-energy venue.

Qualifications

• Basic comfort with hand tools and power tools.
• Willing to learn maintenance of QubicaAMF XLI Edge pinspotters.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pin Chaser Duties: Clear lane jams, maintain pinspotters during peak hours, keep pit and machine areas safe and clean.
• Mechanic & Repair Support: Assist Head Mechanic with preventive maintenance and basic repairs of QubicaAMF XLI Edge.
• Lane Technician Support: Monitor lane performance, assist with lane conditioning, perform quick fixes to keep bowling action uninterrupted.
• Safety & Standards: Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements.

About the Role:

• Are you handy, eager to learn, and love working with your hands in a high-energy environment? Star Lanes Polaris is looking for motivated Pin Chasers / Mechanics to join our facility team!
• In this role, you'll work directly under our Head Mechanic to learn the ins and outs of maintaining and troubleshooting our modern QubicaAMF XLI Edge pinspotters, keeping our lanes running smoothly and ensuring our guests have an unbeatable experience.

Whether you're an experienced Lane Technician or someone just mechanically inclined looking to break into the industry, we will train the right person!

Key Responsibilities:

• Pin Chaser Duties: Clear lane jams, maintain pinspotters during peak operating hours, and keep the pit and machine areas safe, clean, and organized.
• Mechanic & Repair Support: Assist the Head Mechanic with preventive maintenance, basic mechanical repairs, and routine servicing of our QubicaAMF XLI Edge
• Lane Technician Support: Monitor lane performance, assist with lane conditioning routines, and perform quick fixes to keep the bowling action going uninterrupted.
• Safety & Standards: Follow all safety guidelines, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and lock-out/tag-out procedures to ensure a safe workspace.

What We're Looking For

• Mechanical Aptitude: A basic comfort with hand tools, power tools, and a general understanding of mechanical systems (no prior bowling experience required-we will train you!).
• Problem-Solvers: Ability to stay calm under pressure, think on your feet, and resolve equipment issues quickly during busy shifts.
• Reliability & Availability: Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physical Ability: Able to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), and navigate the pinsetter areas comfortably throughout your shift.
