Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking an on-site maintenance technician to support heavy equipment and industrial systems. You will operate, troubleshoot, and maintain machinery, ensuring safe, reliable performance across our facilities.

The role requires physical endurance, ability to lift, stand for long periods, read technical docs, and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Overtime may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for long periods in an industrial environment.
• Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to find root cause for equipment failures.
• Overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift.
• Physical activities including pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneeling.
• Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and working on heavy equipment.
• Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals.
• Valid driver's license.
• Welding, cutting, and fabrication skills.

• Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to find root cause for equipment failures
• Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification
• Capable of performing a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneeling
• Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and working on heavy equipment
• Proficient in reading and understand technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals
• Valid drivers license
• Welding, cutting, and fabrication skills

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
