Job Description

The Fleet Mechanic 2 is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Company fleet equipment to include, class 1-8 diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, pallet jacks, and forklifts by performing the essential job duties.

What your day will look like:
  • Perform various preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on all types of fleet equipment
  • Troubleshoots mechanical and electronic malfunctions, perform all types of repairs, rebuild/replace major equipment components
  • Perform emergency roadside services as needed
  • Research and order parts, accurately record usage, and asset in managing stock inventory
  • Complete electronic work orders, ensure all information is recorded in computerized maintenance system
  • Assist team members with troubleshooting & repairs, researching parts, and inspecting equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all Good Manufacturing Practices
What you need to succeed:

  • In the event of drivers, to have a good MVR
  • Must be able to pass the Company physical

  • Must have made a living three (3) years as a vehicle mechanic (verifiable)
  • Must have own tools for cars and large trucks
  • Must be able to obtain a CDL A classification licenses within thirty (30) days after hire or transfer into the position, absent extenuating circumstances
  • Must be able to pass the company general driving test before hire and specific driving test after training
  • Must be able to pass DOT physical
Physical Requirements
  • Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Position is required to wear safety toed shoes when performing the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment or Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc
