Job summary

AAA Cooper Transportation is seeking a full-time mechanic in Birmingham, AL. You will perform bumper-to-bumper maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers, conduct inspections, troubleshoot electrical systems, and service brakes and tires to keep the fleet safe and on the road.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be 18+, possess 2 years of repair experience, and pass DOT screenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 18 years or older.
• 2 years experience on truck and trailer repair.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen, background check and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Bumper to bumper preventive maintenance service and/or repair to tractors and trailers.
• Preventive maintenance inspections.
• Electrical trouble shooting.
• Brake system repair.
• Tire maintenance.
• Minor diesel engine repair.
