Job summary

ShopRite in East Haven, CT is seeking a Meat Wrapper Clerk to wrap, package, weigh and price merchandise in the Meat Department. You will help maintain a neat, clean and appealing department while assisting customers and performing tasks safely and efficiently.

Essential duties include stocking, equipment checks, and adherence to food safety and company policies. This is a full-time on-site role requiring the ability to lift up to 90 lbs and work in variable temperatures.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Able to perform basic math and read scales.
• Able to stand, bend and lift 35 lb regularly; may lift 80-90 lb occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Wrap, package, scale and price mark merchandise in Meat Dept.
• Keep department neat, clean and visually appealing.
• Stock merchandise and display cases; maintain sanitation.
• Perform duties in compliance with safety and QA standards.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
