Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Team Member to support the meat department with counter service, stocking, and sanitation. The role emphasizes courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service in alignment with store SOPs and core values.

The position requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in a fast-paced environment, and flexibility including nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior retail experience is not required, and training is provided.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fresh, appealing display; check quality; stock shelves and cases; rotate products; fill ice tables; perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist with sampling program; keep sample areas full, clean, appealing.
• Clean cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as required.
• Arrive on time; be groomed and ready; work all scheduled shifts; attend trainings and meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service; address customer needs promptly; use suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximize sales through proper prep, storage, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follow Weights and Measures, health, sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work/shopping environment; keep equipment clean per standards.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure signs and pricing accuracy.
• Immediately report safety hazards and violations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
