Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets in Lewiston is seeking a Meat Service Associate who guides customers through meat selections and offers expert recommendations to ensure the best cuts for any meal.

You will greet customers, help locate items, verify deliveries, stock displays, and maintain food safety standards while delivering friendly, attentive service that leaves shoppers with a smile.

Qualifications

• Must provide friendly, approachable customer service in a meat department setting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with accuracy and efficiency.
• Commitment to maintaining clean, organized displays and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet customers when entering or leaving the store.
• Answer customer questions, help locate items, and provide recommendations.
• Help customers select the right cut of meat for their needs or answer questions about preparation methods.
• Receive and unload deliveries of meat products, verify deliveries from suppliers and store them in a safe manner.
• Stock shelves and cases with new items, rotating stock to ensure freshness, and clean up spills or debris.
• Update displays, cases and other customer-facing areas to ensure new items and promotions are showcased.
• Ensure work areas are ready to service customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment and floors, and removing trash.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures established by the company and other regulatory agencies.
• Cooperate with others to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform other duties to ensure the overall success of our company.
