Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to create a fresh, welcoming, and well-run store experience within our Fresh departments.

Build positive connections with customers and teammates while sharing product knowledge and helping customers find what they need. You will maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing displays, stock, rotate, and merchandise products according to standards, and use technology to complete tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or food service experience is helpful, but not required.
• Able to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Comfort learning and using store technology.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
