Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Meat Service Clerk to provide friendly customer service in the Meat/Seafood Department. Duties include wrapping, trimming, stocking cases, weighing and labeling products, and ensuring freshness and cleanliness throughout the shift.

You will greet customers, assist with product location, and coordinate with team members to deliver a positive shopping experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent experience and food safety training are required.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service while treating customers as the most important people in the store.
• Greets customers and helps them find products, notes suggestions or requests, and escorts them as needed.
• Wraps, weighs, labels, and stocks meat and seafood products for display and sale.
• Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of the work area and rotates stock as needed.
• Reports out-of-stock items and works with team to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
