Job summary

Hannaford Supermarkets in Maine is hiring for a Meat/Seafood Department team member to help us deliver fresh, high-quality products and outstanding service in a busy store. You will develop product knowledge, cut, wrap and display seafood, price items, stock cases, and train or assist other associates as needed, while maintaining safety, sanitation, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Meet all applicable productivity guidelines.
• Treat all co-workers with fairness, dignity, and respect.
• Develop product knowledge in all areas of the meat/seafood department including cooking procedures.
• Assist in special projects and perform other functions as assigned by supervisor.
• Assist in training of other associates when assigned.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times; comply with company personal appearance policy.
• Maintain solid communication in the department and throughout the organization.
• Support company safety standards. Communicate any needed equipment repairs or maintenance work needed.
• Observe and maintain company sanitation and food safety standards.
• Maintain the quality of department's appearance and presentation.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
