The University of Georgia is seeking a Research Associate in Dr. Kim's Lab to conduct research on value-added meat products and muscle-based foods.

The role involves analyzing results and presenting findings through abstracts and peer-reviewed publications, with monthly PI meetings to discuss progress. The position is part-time (0.80 FTE) with responsibilities spanning project management, manuscript preparation, and research development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field of science.
• Experience in meat science or life sciences is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Participate in and help oversee ongoing research conducted by the PI and collaborators.
• Develop study timelines, assign responsibilities, coordinate personnel and facility schedules.
• Coordinate animal, carcass, meat-processing, sensory, microbiological, and analytical studies; ensure protocols are followed.
• Maintain approvals and documentation; compliance with laboratory safety and QA procedures.
• Train and supervise students and lab personnel; monitor purchasing and inventory; coordinate with sponsors.
