Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a General Laborer to join our production team in the United States. You will support the processing of meat products on a production line, using hand tools, knives and machinery.

The role is physically demanding and requires standing for long shifts, with overtime possible based on production needs. We offer a competitive starting wage of $22.70 per hour plus a $1 per hour shift differential for 2nd/3rd shifts, along with comprehensive health insurance, retirement

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to stand on concrete for up to a 12-hour shift.
• Work in cold environments (20–40°F) and/or hot environments (>100°F).
• Able to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools, knives and machinery to process meat products.
• Maintain safety, quality and teamwork on the production line.
• Work overtime as production demands require.
