Job summary

Ellenco Estágios e Treinamentos seeks a General Production Worker in Davenport, IA for an entry-level role in a meat processing facility. You will support safe, efficient production with general labor tasks, including equipment setup, line activities, and GMP/HACCP adherence.

The position is contract to hire, requires standing for long shifts, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to work weekends/overtime. Benefits are offered and the pay is $18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in general labor or meat handling is beneficial.
• Comfort in cold temperatures around 30 degrees.
• Ability to operate a manual hand jack or willingness to learn.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing or warehouse environments is an advantage.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Follow GMP/HACCP policies and procedures.
• Maintain production areas in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Identify issues that may lead to unsanitary conditions and report them.
• Remove product and packing materials from the floor to keep work areas clear.
• Dispose of inedible products according to procedures.
• Stage production areas with containers and materials for the next shift.
• Assist with equipment prep and sanitation activities.
• Assist with handling rework and prevent cross-contamination with proper labeling.
• Relieve co-workers for breaks and cover other positions when needed.
• Complete all paperwork and production documentation accurately.
• Assist in training new employees by demonstrating proper procedures.
• Check in with supervisor before leaving for pass-down tasks.
• Inspect cases for labels and legible code dates.
• Make basic machine adjustments and change tape, dates, ink as needed.
• Operate a manual hand jack to move materials.
