Uwajimaya Inc. is seeking a Meat Wrapper (Union) in the Bellevue area. The role focuses on high‑quality meat preparation, wrapping, and display, with strong customer service and product knowledge to meet customer requests.

Union involvement is noted, and attention to labeling, temperature, and safety is essential for daily operations. You will guide customers on products, align with weekly promotions, and support team members while maintaining a clean wrapping area and compliant practices.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food Handler’s Card.
• Prior retail meat experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable using computers and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a friendly demeanor.
• Identify and know all types of meat sold at Uwajimaya.
• Uniformly wrap meat in proper trays and label accurately.
• Display meat attractively and monitor temperatures for freshness.
• Assist customers with location, benefits, recipes, and cooking techniques.
• Handle complaints and assist with special orders.
• Keep wrapping area and display cases clean and organized.
