Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required or closely related.
• Five or more years in meat and poultry inspection with HACCP experience preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal meat inspection regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee meat and poultry processing inspection operations at state-inspected facilities.
• Monitor and enforce applicable regulatory provisions and perform programmatic duties for the meat and poultry bureau.
• Review SSOPs, HACCP plans, label approvals and coordinate staff training.
