Job summary

Sam's Club is hiring a Meat Department Lead in Port Charlotte, FL. You will supervise hourly associates, drive sales, and ensure member satisfaction by delivering high-quality meat products and implementing company programs.

You will model expertise in Meat, collaborate with other leaders, and leverage digital tools to forecast, plan, and maintain inventory while upholding safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in a meat production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat processing experience and Food Handler Certification (Food Safety) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Leader: supervise the meat department and communicate goals.
• Be an Expert: maintain knowledge of floor, backroom operations, product updates and specs.
• Be a Techie: use handheld devices to plan for and drive sales and ensure product quality.
• Be an Owner: maintain a neat, safe, and compliant meat area with proper staffing and inventory.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: train and develop team members and source new talent.
