Job summary

The Save Mart Companies is hiring a Multi-Purpose Clerk II (Step-Up Cutter) at 260 N. Highway 65, Lindsay, CA. You will support the Meat Department by weighing, stocking, cutting to order, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced store environment.

Typically 18+ with ability to lift 40 pounds, enforce safety and cleanliness, and work various shifts including evenings and weekends. Competitive benefits and employee discounts are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Willing to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Weighing and stocking fresh, chilled, and frozen meat, poultry, and fish.
• Provide backup support in Fish Department and occasional demos
• Handle customer requests by cutting or modifying prepared cuts to order
• Maintain the "Customer Connection" by exceeding customer expectations
• Operate machinery such as slicing, grinding, and cube steak machines
• Keep meat cases organized, clean, and properly filled
• Take bell calls and assist with customer service, including cash transactions
