Job summary

Niemanns Meat is seeking a Meat Stocker Clerk to weigh, wrap, and price meat while delivering excellent customer service. You will work directly with customers and support a fast-paced meat department environment.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and knowledge of food handling and safety standards. Eligibility for state-mandated Food Handler certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information and procedures
• Food handler's certification as required by state law

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with helpful, friendly, and prompt service
• Drive department sales with suggestive selling
• Maintain sanitation and refrigeration standards
• Prepare and display product quality and appearance
• Demonstrate product knowledge (cooking methods, recipes, signature items)
• Open/close procedures per NFI standards with sanitation, display and handling
• Maintain ordering and receiving standards with department manager
• Adhere to company programs, policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned
