Job summary

Kroger Co. Locust Grove, GA is seeking a customer-focused associate to perform general clean-up, stock work in Meat, and assist customers with high-quality service on-site.

You will greet customers, maintain clean displays, monitor temperatures, and help ensure freshness and safety across departments. The role requires weekend/holiday availability, effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment while adhering to policies and health regulations.

• Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.

• Must be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate all production equipment.
• Past work record reflects dependability and integrity.
• Previous experience in food preparation.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handling.
• Experience in grocery retail and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers and greet them, providing high quality food and service.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Unloading and storing merchandise, preparing and displaying foods per recipes and standards.
• Monitor product quality, freshness and safety; ensure clean, organized sales areas and backrooms.
• Operate cash register following company procedures.
• Maintain signage, product rotation, and proper space for merchandise.
• Adhere to company policies and safety regulations; follow directions to resolve issues.
