Job summary

Weis Markets is hiring for a meat department associate. You will handle receiving, pricing, stocking, and assisting customers with orders, while upholding safety and sanitation standards in the meat and seafood sections.

Responsibilities include cutting, trimming, and packing products, ensuring correct labeling and rotation, and supporting other departments as needed. A high school diploma or GED and retail experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years in a retail environment or equivalent experience.
• Commitment to safety, sanitation, and food handling standards.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload shipments, price products, and stock cases.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area in compliance with regulations.
• Ensure proper weights, labeling, and product rotation.
• Greet customers and take orders; assist in meat and seafood department as needed.
• Follow safety practices when using cutting tools and wear mesh gloves as required.
• Assist in pre-inventory preparation and back stock organization.
• May support other departments as needed.
