Job summary

Food City in Tennessee is seeking a team member for the meat department to cut, grind, slice and merchandise fresh meat, and to assist in ordering and displaying products. You will help maintain HACCP compliance and ensure a clean, well-organized display area.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with a readiness to meet physical demands and follow instructions. Meat cutting experience is a plus, but not required; on-site shifts and reliable attendance are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Meat cutting experience a plus, but not required.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying all product.
• Grind meat.
• Slice meat.
• Rotate and stock product; maintain display cases.
• Sanitize department and disinfect twice a day.
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Enforce and maintain the HACCP program.

• Assist in organizing cooler arrangement and stocking of cooler.
• Responsible for rotation of product.
• Maintain neat and clean appearance of all display cases.
• Maintain good code dates on all product in display cases.
• Keep work station and area around work station neat and clean.
• Department is to be sanitized and disinfected twice a day.
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Assist in enforcing and maintaining the company HACCP program.
