JOB PURPOSE:

The Meat Cutter is responsible for ensuring the efficient and precise cutting of meat products, maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role plays a crucial part in delivering exceptional service to our customers by providing them with fresh and well-prepared meat selections.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat products according to company standards and customer specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat cutting area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Inspect meat products for quality and freshness, ensuring only the best products are available for sale.
• Assist customers by providing information on meat products and offering suggestions based on their needs.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
• Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages to management.
• Operate meat cutting equipment safely and correctly, performing routine maintenance as needed.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to food safety and handling.

Meat Cutter:

Education/Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent

Certifications: Valid Health Certificate

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a meat cutter or in a similar role within a retail or grocery environment.
