Job summary

Food City in Dayton, Tennessee is seeking team members for the meat department to cut, grind and slice meat, stock coolers, and ensure product rotation and sanitation. The role emphasizes on-site work and customer service.

Experience in meat cutting is a plus but not required; must be 18+ and able to meet physical and cognitive demands. Training will cover ordering, receiving, and HACCP compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Meat cutting experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Cut and merchandise fresh meat.
• Assist in ordering, receiving and displaying products.
• Grind meat.
• Slice meat.
• Assist in organizing cooler arrangement and stocking of cooler.
• Rotate products to maintain freshness and codes.
• Keep display cases neat and clean.
• Maintain good code dates on products in display cases.
• Keep work station and area around work station neat and clean.
• Department is to be sanitized and disinfected twice daily.
• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers.
• Assist in enforcing and maintaining HACCP program.
