Job summary

Kroger in California is seeking a store associate to perform general clean-up and stock work in the Meat department while providing friendly, service-oriented customer care.

You will greet customers, monitor temperatures and product quality, maintain clean sales floors, stock shelves, operate the register as needed, and follow company policies and health regulations with honesty and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers and greet them with quality food.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional.
• Communicate with customers and associates.
• Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods per standards.
• Perform required temperature monitoring.
• Monitor product quality to ensure freshness and safety.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
• Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils per policies.
• Maintain signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, and space allocation.
• Maintain equipment and facilities properly and safely.
