Job summary

Meijer, Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to enhance the customer shopping experience in our Fresh departments. You will build positive connections with customers, share product knowledge, and ensure displays are fresh, appealing, and properly stocked.

The role emphasizes teamwork, efficient use of technology, and adherence to safety and quality procedures in a fast-paced retail environment. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

What You'll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You'll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays

• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards

• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures

• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
