Responsibilities include helping customers, cutting meats, stocking, labeling, ensuring correct country of origin labels, and adhering to food safety regulations.

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome by answering questions about products.
• Know products in the department and respond to questions with recommendations.
• Cut meats to customer requests using proper cutting equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of meat specials.
• Provide customers with requested fresh/frozen products and correct portions.
• Recommend meat items to customers to meet their needs.
• Operate equipment in the meat department according to guidelines.
• Prepare food to company standards.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Ensure country of origin labels are correct for all meat products.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures.
• Reinforce safety programs and notify management of unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and report items in need of repair.
• Notify management of accidents or safety risks.
• Report all safety issues and illegal activity as required.
• Must perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
