Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is seeking a Meat Clerk to assist the Meat Department with high-quality customer service and safe food handling. You will stock, price updates, and maintain clean, well-presented displays in both fresh and frozen cases.

This role starts at 5:00 am and requires a proactive, team-oriented approach. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of meat department experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures product's quality, protections, accuracy, and proper rotation in coolers.
• Rewrap meat packages as needed.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.
• Ensures great customer experience.
• Maintains pork rind rack clean and organized.
• Keeps meat displays clean and presentable.
• Store cleaning supplies properly.
• Advertising department products.
• 5:00 am start time.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Physical Demands And Work Conditions

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use the hands to handle objects, tools or controls.
• Successful performance requires vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• The work environment is that typical of an office and retail store. The noise level ranges from quiet to loud.
• Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Walk and work in Freezer and Refrigerator Cooler as needed throughout the day.
