Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is seeking a Meat Clerk to support the Meat Department with high-level customer service and safe food handling. You will perform stocking, merchandising, pricing updates, and ensure proper rotation of products in coolers.

The role requires 1+ year of meat department experience and a High School Diploma or GED. Candidates must be able to start at 5:00 am and work in a fast-paced, retail environment, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards throughout the shift.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Meat Clerk's role is to assist and support the Meat Department -- by providing a high level of customer service and practice safe food handling procedures and performs a variety of tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Will have stocking and merchandising responsibilities in both the fresh and frozen cases.
• Update Product pricing as necessary.
• Ensures product's quality, protections, accuracy, and proper rotation in coolers.
• Rewrap meat packages as needed.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.
• Ensures great customer experience.
• Maintains pork rind rack clean and organized.
• Keeps meat displays clean and presentable.
• Store cleaning supplies properly.
• Advertising department products.
• 5:00 am start time.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• 1+ years meat department experience
