Job summary

Kroger in El Monte, CA is seeking team members for the Meat department to assist customers, stock and clean as per company standards. You will greet customers, handle transactions, monitor food safety and maintain clean displays.

• Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods according to standards.
• Perform required temperature monitoring.
• Monitor product quality; ensure freshness and safety.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
• Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils per policies.
• Maintain signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality and space for merchandise.
• Maintain equipment and facilities safely per policies.
• Adhere to company policies and laws.
• Operate cash register per procedures.
• Work cooperatively in high paced environments and manage conflict constructively.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.

• Experience in grocery retail and customer service.
