Job summary

Kroger in California is seeking a motivated team member to support the Meat department with stocking, food preparation, customer service, and maintaining safety and freshness.

You will greet customers, handle shelving, monitor product quality, operate cash register per policy, and work weekends/holidays as needed, contributing to a respectful, fast-paced environment.

• Perform general clean-up and stock work in the Meat department and provide customer service.

• Monitor temperature, product quality, freshness, and safety.
• Keep sales areas and backrooms clean and organized; maintain signage and space allocation.
• Operate cash register in accordance with procedures where applicable.

Job description

• Perform general clean-up and stock work in the Meat department and provide customer service. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils in accordance with company and Health Department policies and procedures.

• Maintain equipment and facilities properly and safely in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as State and Federal laws.
• Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures, as applicable.
