Job summary

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. in Carlsbad, NM is seeking a Measurement Technician to join our field operations.

You will measure high and low pressure gathering systems, install and calibrate flow computers, sampling systems and chromatographs, and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, technical training in a mechanical/energy field, a valid driver's license, and at least 3 years in the measurement field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certification or equivalent training in a mechanical environment or energy related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong commitment to personal and job safety.
• Mechanical aptitude and dexterity in the use of tools and equipment.
• Basic math and computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing.
• Good decision making and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Willingness to work overtime and handle call-outs.
• Must live or relocate within 1 hour response time of job assignment.
• At least 3 years previous experience in the measurement field is desired.
• Must have ability to use computers and interpret equipment manuals.
• Must be able to provide understandable and legible reports.
• Must interface with land owners and other field personnel.

Responsibilities

• Measurement of high and low pressure gathering systems.
• Install, program and calibrate EFM flow computers, orifice plates and transmitters.
• Calculate volume rates and sizes of orifice plates to set flow rates.
• Collect gas and liquid samples and maintain sampling systems.
• Install, maintain and calibrate chromatographs.
• Obtain site information and analyze gas content (H2S, CO2, O2, water, nitrogen).
• Develop meter test schedules and install equipment from drawings and manuals.
• Troubleshoot equipment using test equipment.
• Coordinate work with other departments to complete installations and repairs on time.
• Operate EFM radio telemetry systems and process controls.
