Job summary

ConocoPhillips is seeking a Gas Measurement Technician to ensure accurate oil and gas measurement in the Eagle Ford region, based in Kenedy, TX. The role supports field operations, audits, and system improvements while promoting a strong safety culture.

The position requires knowledge of flow computers, calibrated equipment, and willingness to work in diverse field environments. Relocation within 40 miles of Kenedy, TX is expected.

Qualifications

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Current/valid driver’s license.
  • 1+ years of experience with Oil & Gas measurement systems.
  • Basic proficiency in Teams and MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Basic knowledge of liquid and gas measurement software (Prolink, Rosemount Radar, Flowgate).
  • Willing to relocate within 40 miles of Kenedy, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Manage workload testing, proving, and troubleshooting various meters.
  • Enroll in respiratory program and work under supplied air system.
  • Self-manage inventory using Conoco systems.
  • Assist Specialist with testing of modern technologies, equipment, or trial systems.
  • Aid in measurement design for new facilities, expansions, and systems as needed.
  • Assist in field audits with Measurement Specialist and Foreman.
  • Contribute to development or revision of Measurement SOPs.
  • Coordinate meter testing using TestIT and related Conoco systems.
  • Backfill responsibilities of other technicians when necessary.

ConocoPhillips was one of the first companies into the liquids play, resulting in a low-cost entry into this acreage. In 2009, the company began exploring the development potential of this play and by year-end 2023 held approximately 199,000 net unconventional leasehold and mineral acres, primarily in DeWitt, Karnes and Live Oak counties.We hold approximately 484,000 unconventional net acres in the Eagle Ford, located in south Texas. The current focus is on full-field development, using customized well spacing and stacking patterns adapted through reservoir analysis.During 2025, net production averaged 390 MBOEDPosition OverviewThe Gas Measurement Technician ensures accurate oil and gas measurement in compliance with company policies, contractual agreements, and regulatory requirements. They will have knowledge in multiple areas of Oil & Gas measurement, basic understanding of flow computers, working with calibrated equipment, and well / facility operations.
